I Let My Friends Drink in My Dorm Room & I Had to Pay $720
My freshman year of college, a couple of my friends and I decided to have a night of drinking. Being freshmen, none of us had a place to go so we decided to drink in my dorm room. Everybody was having a good time until we were out of alcohol. That is when we decided to go to bed, but one of my friends was not doing so well. We ended up calling an ambulance for alcohol poisoning.
In the end, everyone in the room recieved a $310 ticket except for me. Because it was in my room, I recieved the $310 ticket because I was a minor AND I got an additional $410 ticket because I was providing a place for minors to drink. It was quite an embarrassment to be the first to break our dorm’s record for being the only dorm to not have any alcohol related write-ups. The $720 that I had to pay was not worth the three hours of fun that we had.
