These stories won't keep you from crossing the line. But they may help you see it a lot clearer.
And maybe even avoid it.

I Became Enraged and Tore The Phone Out of The Wall
I began drinking at 13 years old, and by the time I was 15, I began experimenting with other drugs. At 16, I was using drugs and partying frequently. I started to realize that I had a problem with drugs and alcohol when I was 17.  But by the time I realized I had a problem, it was too late. I did not know how to stop.

I didn’t clearly see that I Had Crossed The Line until the day that I got in trouble with my family. I was defensive towards my mom and suddenly became overwhelmed with rage.  She recognized the rage and said that she was going to call the police because of my excessive drug and alcohol use. As she crossed the room to pick up the phone, I tore the whole phone out of the wall.

My dad walked through the door and said I had three minutes to get my things and leave.  He said that if I went over three minutes, I was going to be a “Hurting Unit.” I moved as fast as I could, grabbing as much as I could before running out the door. I Crossed The Line the moment that my addiction caused me to hurt others.
