She Didn't Think She'd Live Past 30

My best friend from college grew up with a mother, grandmother and sister who drank and smoked in excess. It was a hostile, violent and hard childhood. My friend started drinking, smoking and doing drugs at a young age. She didn't think she would live past 30 because of it. At 16 she met a lady who cared about her, took an interest in her and told her about Jesus. She found something to live for - Jesus and she began changing her life. She quit everything cold turkey and hasn't gone back. Today, she is a youth pastor and she has a 4.0 in a master's school in CA. She is no longer bound by alcohol or drugs.
